CAC 3rd Quarter Operation Meeting Summary

    On November 20th, CAC International's business meeting for the third quarter was held in Shanghai. More than 130 representatives from each base and unit attended the meeting. Vice President Yiqun Qi chaired the meeting, and Chairman Xiaohong Tian and other leaders made important speeches. The meeting summarized the operation and development situation in the third quarter, analyzed the business environment CAC is faced with, and rearranged the work of the fourth quarter. Finally, they carefully arranged the business strategy and new development plan for the coming year 2022.

   At the meeting, the financial, QHSE management, marketing, sales, procurement, project management departments, technical center and the principals of each base reported the major work progress in the third quarter respectively. They comprehensively analyzed the internal and external changes in business operating environment in the third quarter. In addition to high shipping cost, the complexity of epidemic control, there were also influences from increased commodities prices, new "double control" policy on energy consumption, limitation in electricity production, and natural disasters such as typhoon. In the face of difficulties, CAC staff, took measures actively, made changes in the stable environment, focused on key issues and grabbed new opportunities in the predicament. Excellent economic benefits in the third quarter laid a solid foundation for the fourth quarter of the year.

     After listening to the report of each department, line and base, President Simian Xie made a summary of the meeting and arranged the key work of the fourth quarter. President Xie said that in the face of the complex and changeable external environment in the third quarter, the company's management team assessed the situation, made scientific decisions and achieved excellent results, which is not easy in this case. Difficulties are still there in the fourth quarter, and will challenge all enterprises. Only the excellent enterprises surviving from these challenges can turn the crisis into opportunities. President Xie emphasized that we should have a clear understanding of the business opportunities in the crisis, seize the potential market share brought by “double control of energy consumption", and conduct sales solidly based on low cost competition. The increased difficulties in the approval of new projects will delay vicious competition to some extent. Therefore, we should accelerate technological innovation, respond to the requirements of the new policy on the “approval and control of dangerous processes” effectively, and highlight the value of technological upgrading.

    President Xie pointed out that "Stars don't ask people who are in a hurry, time will come to those who wait". Regarding how to realize product upgrading and industrial upgrading in the context of "double control", thinking early and acting fast will become the key point of success. We should turn the opportunity of “double control” policy into a magic weapon of sustainable development. As for the key work in the fourth quarter, in addition to daily production and management, President Xie also emphasized on three important things. Firstly, it is steady and safe trial production in Jiangxi Yangli. We should be tactically focused and prepare for every detail of the trial run. All related units should continue to support as always and all functional departments should continue to conduct in-depth front-line services. At the same time, with the help of production run in Yangli, we should rebuild the functional chemicals team and reshape the new image of CAC functional chemicals market; Secondly, the approval and construction of Prothioconazole and Trifloxystrobin projects should be completed; Thirdly, it is necessary to prepare for new site selection to ensure the landing of key projects such as I-785. It is the first priority at this moment to do these jobs and they are the foundation of our company's future growth. Therefore, we should do our best to ensure these quality work.

    At the end of the meeting, Chairman Xiaohong Tian made an important speech, "no change, no future". Chairman Tian emphatically analyzed the industrial development trend after the impact of "double control", presented key development directions and new possibilities, such as new plant protection products, new fluorination materials, functional materials, salt chemical industry integration, industrial chain, the chain length and chain units. He also analyzed from different underlying logics of "victory", such as low costs, research and development mission, market breakthrough and mechanism change. Finally, he discussed the development prospect of CAC based on "changes", and described the realistic challenge and development plan under the guidance of the new strategy, "medium-scale enterprise’s pathway to large-scale enterprise".

    Chairman Tian pointed out that there would be no future without changes. Over the past decade, we have succeeded in creating a "miracle" and stepped into a path of sustainable and steady growth. At the same time, we are also deeply aware that there is no way out in the face of challenges if we stick to our previous strategy and make no changes. Only by riding the trend, constantly innovating, forging ahead and enhancing strategic decision-making and execution capability, can we expand new space for development and open up a new pattern of development by constantly solving problems and resolving difficulties. 

    “I see because I believe”. While listening to Chairman Tian's speech, everyone’s heart was hunted by a hope for the future development, a new strategic blueprint of a beautiful large enterprise and considerable faith and confidence in exploring "change and breakthrough". Looking up at the starry sky and stepping on the earth, riding the encouraging trend of the third quarter meeting, we all expressed our more inspiring spirits and were willing to grab the last forty days of the golden period in this year. According to the core deployment of the meeting, everyone was hoping to hand over a satisfactory answer for the successful ending of the whole year.
